If you do decide to kitesurf in Hove or in Brighton then there are two possible places to do it and both are for the more experienced kitesurfer.

The first, just behind the King Alfred leisure centre, is the most frequented beach by kitesurfers but it has groynes and can be a little crowded with beachgoers as well as being mostly chop.

Those are the negatives but it is right off the beach in Hove opposite Hove Street so pretty central if you can jump on a train or you have a car then head down to Shoreham or Lancing beach, twenty minutes west down the road.
