BEKS Kitesurfing with 1 to 1 Tuition
Brighton Elementary Kitesurfing School’s IKO qualified kitesurf instructor Chris Miles provides full kitesurfing courses, lessons and individulal 1 to 1 kitesurfing tuition near Brighton that can be booked online for those who want undivided attention.
It may be that you would like to focus on a few areas that you feel you have not mastered after your IKO kitesurfing course, or it may be a while since you have been Kitesurfing and you need a refresher before heading out again. Whichever it is all our courses are available on a 1 to 1 basis from the beginning. With our 1 to 1 classes we like to use the UHF radios to enable you more freedom of movement as you may already be up and riding.
Your progress with any skill will be accelerated with a dedicated instructor who will reaffirm safe practices for setting up then help you to setup your gear according to the conditions. Guide you through any hazard identification. Check that you are able to do the above yourself independently.
He will go through theory with you, demonstrate the skill on land and then model on water for you to try. These classes are taken with a minimum of two hours, unless you are already out on a course and wish to focus for the additional hour.
Common reasons for having a one to one lesson include:
- Refresh skills and boost confidence under guidance before achieving full independence
- Understand how to stay upwind and maintaining posture
- Acquire and maintain a good stance
- Learn how to manage high wind conditions
- Know how to adjust your equipment and be able to fine tune it
- Establish turns and making them more fluid
- Developing controlled power for jumps
