Imagine making flying runs during your first hour on the water with a foil! A wing that not only starts early but is also highly resistant to stalling allowing first timers to ride at a speed they’re comfortable with. A wing that has such a predictable and stable lift pattern that even first timers can control their board as soon as it starts to fly. A wing so pitch-stable that over-foiling is quickly a thing of the past allowing you to ride with confidence and focus on learning – not just surviving (and having no sharp edges certainly doesn’t detract from this feeling either!). An absolute gift to beginning to foil that no rider should be forced to learn without. You can start foiling at 8kph and has been tested to above 30 kph – fast enough for fun, slow enough to learn.
Fast upwind, aggressive carving, solid for jumping, stable enough to progress and fun in all winds. Want some numbers to back up Shinn’s claims? 36 kph upwind, 50 kph top speed (till now), 12 kph take off speed. If you’re looking for a fast, stable and durable foil – this is it.
The hard anodised, CNC milled, PA6 alloy plate features an exclusive Quik-fit system that allows attachment and removal without taking the fixing bolts out of the board. The pitch-stable wing profiles allow for fast, controlled riding with aggressive transitions yet also inspire confidence in less competent and nervous foilers.
If you’re riding foiling with ease but not looking to make life hard for yourself by moving onto a high speed, high technique dependant free race foil, the Model K was developed for you and was designed to ensure your progress remains as fast and painless as your progression. Impressive low speed starting and a high AOA stall resistance means you don’t need the footwork of a ballerina to master tricky transitions or footswitches and yet lock it down and pour on the power and the Model K accelerates and tracks assuredly up until speeds in excess of 50 kph.
Shinn Mega-K Foil:
Extreme light wind cruising, foiling in waves or strapless freeride transitions it’s also proved to be exceptionally well suited as a cross over wing for Surf and SUP action too.
With a surprisingly high speed range for a wing of this size and almost un-believable low start speed (as low as 8 kph) the Mega K leads us down the path of multi-discipline wings.
Shinn K2 Foil:
The all new K2 has an abundance of confidence inspiring stability and control that allows the rider to comfortably handle power and reach speeds that seemed impossible before. Rider further and faster without extreme front foot pressure, agility with stability and a fast track to a more advanced foiling level.
